As one of the key economic and trade projects of Guangdong-Macao co-operation, GMBPF has become a leading platform for brand promotion and business expansion. As the first local exhibition in Macao accredited the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) is one of the most prestigious annual events of international economy and trade in Macao, which attracts trade delegations from countries and regions worldwide to Macao each year. MIF showcases Macao’s advantages as a world centre of tourism and leisure, and also a commercial and trade co-operation service platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, giving spotlight to the four key industries whilst boosting business co-operation for Macao’s diversified economic development, creating new opportunities for MIF’s participants in terms of business expansion, transformation and start-up.

Focusing on products and services from Portuguese-speaking countries, the event will focus on six major industries: cross-border e-commerce, new energy, agricultural supply chain, food and beverages, professional services, and blue economy. It aims to attract exhibitors from nine Portuguese-speaking countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste, in order to promote multifaceted and cross-sectoral co-operation between businesses from the Chinese mainland and Portuguese-speaking countries, jointly expanding business opportunities between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
